Sarah Savalanpour is an Iranian Artist, curator, and art educator. Her practice involves archival research and filmmaking. Working across both documentary and fictional formats, Her research examines the migratory dynamics of still and moving images, their mediation through visual representation, and the role of visual archives in shaping collective memory.
She has been a student at HFBK Hamburg since 2019, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Time-based Media and a Master of Art Mediation with an emphasis on media studies, as well as film mediation strategies.

She is currently a member of the dokumentarfilmwoche Hamburg team, where she focuses on curating and conducting research on documentaries from the SWANA region.

She additionally works as the Mediation Coordinator at „Majlis“ in MK&G Hamburg, where she curates a public outreach program centered on cross-cultural communication and translation strategies.
